The UCLA Animation Workshop is committed to excellence in defining, expanding, creating, and teaching animation. There are only 2 limitations:<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMaster of Fine Arts – Graduate Division\t<\/h3>\n\t

The Graduate program in the Department of<\/strong> Film, Television and Digital Media<\/strong> offers a Master of Fine Arts<\/em> degree that can be obtained with a specialization in Animation. It is a three to four year program that has been turning out innovative and accomplished artists for over 75 years.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFilm, Television, & Digital Media – Undergraduate Program\t<\/h3>\n\t

The Undergraduate program in the Department of<\/strong> Film, Television and Digital Media<\/strong> offers a Bachelor of Arts<\/em> degree that can be obtained with a concentration in Animation. This program provides a broad background and diversity of film and television practice, and essential production techniques.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSummer Institute\t<\/h3>\n\t

Students and aspiring animators learn to write and draw their own animated movies. No drawing experience required, just limitless imagination. This 6-week online track is open to college, professional, and pre-college students.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\"NINE\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tNINE DAYS by Jessica Song\n

\n\t\t\tFirst Year\t<\/h3>\n\tThe first year of the program is devoted to learning the principles of making a traditional hand-drawn, animated film.

The process begins with a series of classes that provide the student with the fundamentals of animation, exposure to different techniques, history, and critical analysis. This culminates with a 2-quarter class (FTV 181C Animation Workshop), in which the student completes an animated film with sound.<\/p>\n
