Lynn is an industry professional and educator dedicated to sharing the artistic and creative process with students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. She has taught a wide range of animation filmmaking, interactive animation, and pre production design courses at UCLA, California State University Long Beach, Woodbury University, and CalArts. As a Master Teaching Artist with The Music Center of Los Angeles County and the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County, she creates animation and media arts residencies for K-12 classes and professional development workshops for educators, that make connections to social-emotional learning and to subjects across the curriculum from language arts and social studies, to the STEAM curriculum. Her industry work includes animation, visual effects, puppetry, design, and mixed media projects for Disney, Shadow Machine, Secret Plan Studios, National Geographic, and the Science Channel among others. She graduated from UCLA Film, Television and Digital Media with an MFA. As a student, she was selected for the school’s Directors Spotlight, and screened her films at festivals nationwide including The Hawaii International Film Festival, The San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival, The Los Angeles Visual Communication Film Festival, Seattle’s Bumbershoot Arts Festival and New York’s Animation Block Party. |
