Useful Links
The Animation Library houses an archive of audio and video interviews of prominent figures from the animation industry conducted by our students. Our library is a great resource, with extensive holdings of animation DVDs, Blu-rays, laser discs, book and articles, and more.

One of the ways we like to stay connected in our Animation community is through discord. If you have the app, you can join to instantly communicate with current students, staff, and alumni.

The intranet is part of UCLA's Theater, Film, and Television resources that only students, staff, and faculty have access to. Click the link to request access.
To avoid issues in rendering, exporting, or inconsistencies, we have put together a group of guides to help you. This allows for optimal settings and software performance.
This allows you to see a weekly schedule of our classrooms. The schedule is set to update live and display which classes and where they're taking place in current time.
Animation Supplies
There are a limited number of supplies available to students currently enrolled in animation classes, such as acetate, paper and cel paint. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to students actively engaged in producing films for academic credit. For certain classes, film and processing are provided by the Workshop. Additional animation materials can be purchased from:

You can access this extremely useful site for free using your UCLA ID. The site contains hundreds of tutorials on software, effects, and animation.
High quality After Effects Video Tutorials for motion graphics and visual effects presented by Andrew Kramer.
A gesture and life-drawing tutorial and video resource, this YouTube channel contains drawing tips, professional photography, and timed gesture drawing videos.

Organizations & Affiliations
ASIFA Hollywood
Become a student member for only $20/year to have access to special screenings of the latest animated features, often with an informative Q & A with the filmmakers. There are also frequent panel discussions and screenings celebrating past animation classics as well as educational symposiums aimed at both the student and the professional. ASIFA-Hollywood also hosts the annual Annie Awards ceremony on the UCLA campus.

Cartoon Brew
Use this site to stay up-to-date on all things animation. Every day, Cartoon Brew brings the latest news and trends in animation, covering a wide range of topics, including contemporary and classic animation from around the globe, CGI, advertising, design, anime and industry/business news.
CTN Animation Expo
As a dedicated expo for animation talent in Burbank, this event provides highly focused conference programming, workshops, recruiting, presentations and networking opportunities designed to connect animation artists, studio executives and industry leaders locally and internationally.
Women in Animation
Women In Animation is a professional, non-profit organization established in 1994 to foster the dignity, concerns and advancement of women who are involved with any and all aspects of the industry and art of animation.
ACM SIGGRAPH
Their annual conference is a five-day interdisciplinary educational experience in the latest computer graphics and interactive techniques including a three-day commercial exhibition that attracts hundreds of exhibitors from around the world. The Student Volunteer Program puts you right in the middle of all of the action with full conference access, and deep into a network of fellow students.
