UCLA Animation Workshop was ALL OVER 2026 San Diego Comic Con This Summer!
What did we do this summer? Well, faculty, students and alumni of the UCLA Animation Workshop showed up in numbers for the 2026 Comic Con in July. Not only did the Workshop host the panel: “To Film School or Not to Film School, Animation Is the Question!” which featured faculty panelists Amy Winfrey and Lynn Okimura, was developed and moderated by Workshop alumna and TFT staffer Natalie Xavier, and was tech supported by animation lecturer and TFT Animation Supervisor Josh Morgan, six current and just-graduated Workshop MFAs screened their animated films at
Comic Con with the San Diego International Children’s Film Festival
Additionally, Workshop notable alumni and faculty (former and current) hosted panels and screenings throughout the Con (details below). We can’t wait to see what we do next summer at The Con!
